A Super Simple Winter Checklist
Maybe it’s the unseasonably warm year we’ve had so far, but now that we’re toward the end of January and the days are getting a tiny bit longer I can almost see spring on the horizon.
But the truth is I like winter, even this part after the holidays are done. So to really lean into the season I put together a list of fun things to do before it’s over. And I kept it super short so that I’d actually have a shot at checking them all off.
Here’s what’s on my list.

Read Tana French’s Broken Harbor. She’s one of my favorite authors and this is one of hers I haven’t read.

Try this chili pot pie idea. Basically, you make your favorite chili recipe, top it with your favorite cornbread batter and bake. It sounds easy and delicious!

Watch Only Murders in the Building. I’ve been meaning to watch this since it came out (and got such good reviews), and now they’re going on season three and have added Paul Rudd and Meryl Streep to the cast so it’s at the top of my list.
Get my good camera out. iPhone cameras are so convenient and have become so good that my old Canon Rebel has been gathering dust. But I’ve been feeling the nudge to reacquaint myself with it and maybe try and learn a little Lightroom too.
How are you feeling about winter? Do you have anything you’d like to do in the next month or two?
P.S. A places to go and things to do list and winter urns.
I love ❤️ Only Murders In the Building! You will love it too!! Can’t wait until Season 3 drops!!
Karen, we’re a few episodes in and really enjoying it!
