Apple Cider Sangria

Apple Cider Sangria Recipe at CreatingThisLife.com

Last Thanksgiving I tried a sparkling apple cider sangria recipe that I had pinned to my cocktails board on Pinterest. It was a keeper!

Apple Sangria Recipe

I made it again last weekend when my parents were in town. Here’s the recipe:

  • 1 750 ml bottle sparkling wine (I used an inexpensive spumante. Any sparkling wine will do.)
  • 1/2 cup apple cider
  • 1/2 cup brandy
  • 1/4 cup simple syrup (You can buy this but it’s easy to make your own by boiling 2 parts sugar and 1 part water.)
  • Cinnamon sticks
  • Sliced apples

Combine the first four ingredients into the serving vessel of your choice and then add cinnamon sticks and apples to your heart’s content.

This would be great for any fall activity. Think tailgates or around a bonfire.

For Thanksgiving I plan to double this recipe and keep ingredients on hand to make an additional batch if need be. And need will probably be. It’s delicious.

That sounds really good, I’ll have to try it. I like the idea of Friday night meatballs too, except it would have to probably be Sunday night meatballs.
