Around the House for Fall
Happy Friday!
I wanted to pop in and share a few updates we’ve made around the house.
First, at long last, I chose a paper for the half bath/powder room and had it hung. If we’re connected on Instagram you know I’m often taping wallpaper samples to the wall to try them out, but I am so slow to make actual decisions.

I actually had another toile paper chosen for this bath but it was a high-end paper with a very large repeat and was only sold untrimmed. All of that added up to a lot of $$ so I went back to this paper that I’ve literally been mulling over for years.

I really love it. I’m going to choose a new mirror for over the sink (something dark to provide a bit of contrast) and some new artwork. Hopefully, that won’t take too long and I’ll share here when I do.

Another easy change were these layered rugs in our piano room. I pulled out a seagrass rug I had stored away and added this smaller wool rug on top. I love the warmth and pop of color they add to this room.
We’ve been without a rug in here for a while because our senior dog, Cash, was having some accidents in this room. Sadly, we had to say goodbye to Cash last month. Thank you for all your nice comments on Instagram about that…I know many of you have been through the same thing.

Finally, a very simple addition. Hydrangeas are beautiful when they’re fresh but they also dry beautifully. These are from our limelight hydrangea bush and I will leave them out all fall.
I hope you all are enjoying fall.
Love your new wallpaper! It adds so much interest and texture while staying totally neutral. I can’t wait to see your accessories! I’ve been cutting and showing off my limelights, too. Aren’t they great? Enjoy your weekend!
Love your wallpaper choice! You will never tire of the toile. We have had a toile wallpaper in our powder room bath for over 15 years, and it still gives me homey feels.
I love the layered rugs and your new wallpaper . I’m a longtime fan of toile !
Also, hydrangeas are the most versatile flower and yours look lovely in that vase.
Thank you so much for your recent post !
