Christmas at Kansas City’s Union Station

Kansas City's Union Station

Grant took the train home from St. Louis for Thanksgiving and he said it was so neat to walk from the train and through Union Station all decorated for Christmas.

Actually I’m sure he didn’t use the word neat. He probably used sweet or sick to describe it. If you have a teenage boy, you know what I mean.

In any event, yesterday Tom, Lindsey, Grant and I had breakfast at Harvey’s which sits out in the middle of the station (great people watching while you eat!) and Grant was right, the station does look sweet all decorated for Christmas. Beautiful, in fact. Here are a few pictures I took with my phone while we were there.

  1. Wow! I am stunned. What a gorgeous train station, with or without the holiday decor! Our Amtrak station here in Buffalo is a 1 room concrete structure. Yours could rival Grand Central in Manhattan! Happy Holidays.

  2. Great photos! When we have out of town guests, I always love to hear their reaction when they see Union Station! We have a real gem.
