Classic Home Design Books
I’m a book lover. I’m also a reader, but that’s a whole separate thing. Readers love reading, but book lovers love being around books, whether we’re reading them or not. Browsing a bookstore is our idea of heaven. We visit libraries on vacation. And we believe a filled-to-the-brim bookcase is the most interesting and beautiful thing in any home.
Because I love houses as much as I love books, I especially have a thing for big, beautiful home decor books. Books with loads of gorgeous pictures and words written by fellow house lovers that you can get lost in for hours. I suspect there are more than a few of you reading that love these kinds of books too so I pulled together my favorites to share with you.

P.S. Books make a soulful house and dining rooms as libraries.
I have some of these and need the others. The Nell Hill books are eternal favorites.
So many to choose from.
Julie, I went to an estate sale on Friday and snagged Bunny Williams’ On Garden Style for $2! Happy dance! Now that the lilies are gone, I can sit for awhile while it’s raining outside and enjoy looking at some beautiful garden design!
Thanks for sharing your list and links always. I was watching Bunny on YouTube videos last month and really enjoy her down-to-earth style (and of course, her husband John Roselli’s antiques).
