CTL Weekly 03.01

Happy Friday, friend, and happy March! I know the official first day of spring isn’t for a few weeks but when that calendar flips to March it feels like spring is here. Do you agree?

I got some very happy mail this week when architect Gil Schafer’s new book, Home at Last arrived. It’s stunning, just as expected. It’s his third book, following The Great American House and A Place to Call Home. In an interview I heard him do he described them as a trilogy. I did a little flip-through of Home at Last if you’d like a look inside.

Here are some other things I found interesting or inspiring that I saved to share with you this week.

A dairy turned weekend retreat on the English coast.

I’ve recently discovered The Shopkeepers and wish I could visit each place.

A beautiful cottage vacation rental in Carmel, CA.

I wasn’t aware of this 2019 documentary about the life and career of Ralph Lauren. It looks interesting and well done.

The most charming solution for small bedrooms. (Obsessed with these.)

These little scenes of Sunday in Italy will make you smile and probably lower your blood pressure too.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
