CTL Weekly 03.22

Hi, friend, and happy Friday. Do you have a busy weekend planned or are you keeping this weekend tucked between St. Patrick’s Day and Easter low-key? Either way, I hope it’s just the way you like it.

Every week I look around the web to find a house tour to share with you and you may have noticed that lately, I’ve been sharing a lot of English homes. I love the relaxed style and collected interiors of so many of the English homes I run across and, as luck would have it, the internet algorithms just keep showing me more and more.

This week’s tour is of Sarah Raven’s lush garden in the English countryside. Sarah is well-known in the UK but she was new to me and I loved reading about her. I’m not a gardener myself but I was so taken with her container gardens that maybe there’s a pot of tulips in my future? In any case, the photos are beautiful and inspiring.

Here is more of what I saved to share with you this week.

What I’m Loving

This video tour of Kate Spade co-founder Elyce Arons’ West Village townhouse is such a treat. The art and the color! Plus, she is a charming tour guide.

On my Radar

One of my favorite block print tablecloths is part of Amazon’s big spring sale. It’s 100% cotton, made in India, and comes in several other prints and sizes. I have the blue and green version which I used for this family birthday dinner.

The entire Ballard Designs site is 25% off right now. A few favorite Ballard things we have in our home: woven chandelier shades, our bedroom mirror (we have it in brass), our bamboo powder room mirror (we have it in walnut), and plates so pretty you won’t believe they’re melamine.

My favorite white taper candles have been unavailable for a while but I just noticed that they are back in stock so I grabbed some. I love them because they’re unscented (perfect when serving food), a longer 12″ length, and the perfect shade of white (not too bright and not too yellowish/ivory). They’re also made in the USA and, it’s such a little thing, but I love the green, vintage-style box they come in too.

More to Explore

On Monday I met a friend for lunch at Tailleur on Main, a restaurant that more than one person has told me I’d love. What a great space! It has a Ralph Lauren vibe with a French cafe menu. I put together a short reel if you’d like a peek inside. I also added it to my KC guide.

Have you heard of set-jetting? It’s travel inspired by a favorite movie or TV show. What a fun reason to plan a trip.

A charming nautical hallway refresh by Victoria at Prepford Wife.

My niece brought these sugar cookies to a family gathering and they were so good (and she said easy).

I wrote about Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil last week and after I hit send I discovered the jazzy movie soundtrack with Alison Krauss, Diana Krall, K.D. Lang, and Tony Bennett, among others.

I hope you have a lovely weekend.
