Decor Steals
Hi! Surprised to hear from me again so soon? I’m popping back in again today with a (somewhat) time sensitive post.
The office makeover is not quite ready for primetime, but I wanted to give you a quick peek at the light fixture I bought to replace the ceiling fan that was in here.
I originally saw this distressed, wooden chandelier on Decor Steals, but missed the chance to buy it because the deals there are only up for a day (a new deal is offered at 10 am EST each day) or until they’re sold out . So I did some Googling and finally found the same chandelier on eBay.
Today I opened up my email to discover that Decor Steals was offering the chandelier again for $71.50, a better price than I got on eBay.
So I thought this would be a good time to tell you how Decor Steals is a site I really, really like.
My first purchase from them was this set of six, mini easel chalkboards that I bought to use for my niece’s bridal shower. In fact, when I got them out to take a picture just now, the names of some of the dishes were still on them. (It’s almost lunchtime here; I could really go for some poppyseed salad right now.) Anyway, I digress…
The mini chalkboards aren’t available right now, because of the whole one deal a day, when it’s gone it’s gone thing. They do, however, bring back popular items as “extended steals,” like the wooden chandelier I missed out on but saw offered again today.
The new steal up for today is a large wooden cutting/serving board, in a choice of three different sizes/shapes. I plan to take advantage of it.
And the extended steals available right now include the wooden chandeliers, hydrangea bunches, and a set of nesting herb crates.
A couple of details about shopping through Decor Steals:
- Shipping is a great deal. It’s always $5 in the Continental US. Even if you buy something larger, or more than one of the steals (like two cutting boards, for instance).
- Shipping takes a little longer than most internet orders you’re probably used to. At the bottom of the item’s description it will tell you how long it will take for the item to leave the warehouse, and then shipping will take a bit longer than that. As an example I ordered the mini chalkboard easels on February 18 and received them around March 6 or 7.
- All sales are final, unless the item is damaged. This is why I like Decor Steals a bit better than some of the similar sites that sell more expensive items. I don’t mind taking a chance on something less affordable.
Let me know if you have any questions. I’ll be happy to tell you about experience. And right now I’m off to order a wooden board or two.
Is there any chance you could tell me the brand of the distressed wood pendant light you bought from decor steal?!? I have been looking EVERYWHERE for it with not much luck. They had it on Joss & Main last week for $99, but I didn’t see it until it was already gone:( I desperately would LOVE to have 2 of them for my kitchen. Thank you so much!!
Lindsey
Lindsey, there is no brand name on the pendant itself, and the packaging is long since gone. Darn it! I have seen them in stores twice since I bought them, once at Nell Hills Briarcliff and once at Olathe Glass – both in the KC area. I did not check the price on them, however. If I run across them online again, I’ll email you and let you know. Good luck!
Saw in a comment you were inquiring….Two of the white wood distressed lights you were looking for in 2014 are on decor steals today…got me one but they are 84.95 and 5 dollars for shipping now..good luck!

Does the decor steals chandelier put out enough light for a long bar eating area? I would be purchasing 2
Hi Sandy. I bought this so long ago (and have since replaced it) that I can’t say for sure. I would think so, yes.
