Five Links for Your New Year

Favorite Things· Links I Love January 15, 2021

On Fridays, I often share links to things I’ve found interesting or entertaining around the web. This week’s list has a definite new year theme, whether you’re looking to get more organized, a little healthier, or to have some perspective on all the beautiful homes we see online.

Note: This post contains Amazon affiliate links, which means if you click on a link and make a purchase, I will receive a small commission at no additional cost to you. More details here.

If you love beautiful, organized spaces, you’ll want to check out Jenni’s pantry makeover, which she designed and built (!) herself.

A best-selling cookbook author explains why she’s a fan of frozen vegetables and shares three of her favorites.

I bought these fleece-lined sweatpants for walking outside in the winter and they do such a good job at keeping the cold out. The sizes are limited right now (only size large and up is available) but they do run a little small so I would recommend sizing up anyway.

I also bought one of these water bottles last year and liked it so much that I invested in several more. I chose this particular tumbler because it’s dishwasher safe, the lid doesn’t have to be screwed on (you push it down and a seal keeps it in place), and the plastic is BPA-free. Those bands you see are to help you keep track of how much water you’re drinking; I don’t use the bands so I just removed them but I do find that I drink a lot more water when I drink through a straw.

Marynn is a very popular home decor blogger who has carpet in her home, not something you see much of among decor bloggers. While her preference would be to have hardwood floors, she talks in this post about how to decorate around carpet and, more importantly, how to keep your perspective among all the picture-perfect images we’re surrounded by on blogs and social media.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

P.S. What I’m loving right now and Weekend Links: Julia Child Edition.
