Labor Day Weekend Links

Happy Friday! Are you ready for the long weekend?

Labor Day always marks the beginning of Fall for me. I know it doesn’t officially begin until later in the month, but something about turning that calendar page to September makes me want to watch some football and buy all the mums.

Gretchen Rubin describes September as “the other January” and I get that too. Fresh starts and all that.

In fact, she organized her book Happier at Home to coincide with the months September through May. In it, she experiments with ways to make her home a place of greater simplicity, comfort, and love. It’s one of those books you can return to again and again.

Here are some other links I saved to share with you.

This renovated cottage in Nova Scotia has that wonderful warm, collected, undecorated look. The picture at the top of this post is from the same home. It’s definitely worth a look.

I love this trick that Emily Clark uses to create an inexpensive but custom framed look for little pieces of art.

I am dying to try this baked goat cheese and marinara.

I found Jenny Hobick’s ideas for taking meals to new parents (or anyone really) so helpful.

Do you follow Jennifer Garner on Instagram? I feel like the word delightful should have been invented just to describe her. (Don’t miss her pretend cooking show videos, or the ones where she reads to her dog.)

Have a wonderful weekend!
