Happy Friday! What were you up to this week? I spent most of it getting over Covid. It seems Tom and I brought an unexpected souvenir home from DC.
Here are some links that caught my eye so I saved them to share with you here.

You’ll love this story about a young couple who owns Faulkner House Books in New Orleans and who live in the attached townhouse where Faulkner wrote. (Worth clicking through for a peek at the children’s room alone.)
This Rooftop Cinema Club concept looks amazing. Currently in six US cities plus London. Please come to KC!
This prosciutto-wrapped melon recipe uses a honey mustard vinaigrette. Yum!
“I don’t think curtains are totally necessary,” says Martha Stewart. I tend to agree with Martha on this.
Architectural Digest says that travertine is about to have a moment. My bathroom (which is a bit more modest than the one above ;)) will be so happy. Seriously, I love travertine for its muted colors and earthy feel. Even the travertine that comes from Home Depot, like mine did.
I just ordered this s’more maker for the lake. You can use it on the grill so no open flame is necessary, which is important since we’re in a condo with wood decks.
Finally, I know your heart, like mine, has been with the families in Uvalde since we first heard the news of the school shooting there. This week I made a donation to Everytown for Gun Safety, as I often do in the wake of tragedies like these. This time, however, I made it a sustaining (monthly) donation. Nonprofits tell us that when we commit to a regular donation, even if it’s small, it helps them to plan and be more effective in their work. I’m sharing that in case you feel moved to do the same.
I hope you have a good weekend.
