Links for Your Weekend
Happy Friday! How was your week? Mine involved starting to pull business and personal tax information together for our CPA which, weirdly, I enjoy.
The picture above is from Sunday night’s impromptu family dinner. Lindsey and Morgan cooked and I pulled a quick table together with our everyday dishes, (unironed) napkins from this estate sale, a new tablecloth and candleholders from AtHome, and the plant that sits next to our kitchen sink as the centerpiece. It turned out to be such a fun night, the way unplanned times often are.
As I often do on Fridays, Iโm sharing with you some things Iโve found interesting or entertaining from around the web. Hereโs what I saved to share with you this week.

A Virginia country home done in neutrals.

Tom and I recently listened to this eight-part podcast about Hurricane Katrina and it was excellent.

Grant got me a gift certificate for a customizable journal/planner for Christmas and I haven’t ordered it yet because I wasn’t sure how I wanted to use it. This blog post about journaling and the comments are giving me lots of ideas.

I told you I’d report back on the Marry Me Chicken recipe and it was three enthusiastic thumbs up from Tom, Grant, and me.
This mystery that I read and enjoyed last year is a Kindle deal at the time I’m writing this.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
Hi Julie… my husband and I will definitely listen to that podcast! I never wrote about it but when my husband was GM of a big hotel in Houston, he housed many of the poor Katrina victims that lost their homes. My husband said that they were the nicest guests that he ever had. Have a great weekend.
