Links for Your Weekend

Happy Friday! How was your week? We spent ours getting back into a groove after a family trip to Austin last week.

Have you been to Austin? It was our first time there. We visited the LBJ Library and the Texas State Capitol, logged some serious pool time (it was hot!), and had lots of good food and drinks. I shared our trip through Instagram stories; they’re all saved in an Austin highlight if you’re interested.

Sometimes on Fridays, I link to interesting or entertaining links I’ve found around the web. Here’s what I saved to share with you this week.

Wine Enthusiast has a guide to seven boozy bookshops across the country. KC friends, we have our own boozy bookstore downtown.

Here’s a jaw-dropper: the author of Where the Crawdads Sing is wanted for questioning in a murder. This story is wild and has me thinking about the book in a whole new way.

This Q&A with Stanley Tucci about how he travels is just as charming as you’d expect.

Apartment Therapy has awarded their prize for the smallest/coolest home of 2022 to this Charleston, SC condo. I thought the video was fun to watch too.

Did you order anything during Amazon Prime Days? I tried to resist but ended up picking up these tabletop fans for keeping bugs away from food when eating outside. They come in packs of three, are quiet, safe, and are still on sale, btw. They get good reviews; I can’t wait to try them.

Here’s a great story to end on: Paul Rudd becomes a real-life hero to a bullied Colorado boy.

Have a great weekend!

P.S. A Washington D.C. trip report and my favorite Amazon purchases of 2021.
