Links for Your weekend

Happy Friday! How was your week?
We got back Monday night from a long weekend in Chicago (which I’ll blog about soon) and I looked up and it’s already Friday. Thankfully we have a quiet weekend ahead.
On Fridays, I often share interesting or entertaining links I’ve found around the web. Here’s what I saved to share with you this week.

Ina’s new cookbook is out. Did you catch the 60 Minutes story about her? So interesting that she’s a nervous cook.
The tartan loafers I bought and wore all last Christmas are back at J.Crew Factory. They come in a red and a black plaid and I thought they fit pretty true to size. I’ve also been wearing (a lot!) the black watch plaid slip-on sneakers and love them! They run a little larger in my opinion.
Now that the weather’s cooler I’m trying to make soup at least once a week. I tried Gimme Some Oven’s Italian Sausage and Orzo Soup and it’s a keeper.
I also made this Creamy Tuscan Ravioli for Lindsey’s birthday dinner, which was easy and delicious.
I loved this short essay about the magic of Chicago.
You’ll want to visit this new bookstore in Boston as much for the design as the books.
I’ve had a Ballard Designs indoor/outdoor runner in my kitchen forever. It makes it so easy to clean up spills and drips. I recently swapped it out with this Ballard cable knit look performance rug, which is kind of fun for winter. Ballard has some great indoor/outdoor style rugs. You can see them all here.
Have a great weekend!

That segment on Ina was terrific! I live in Charleston, WV, hometown of Jennifer Garner. It is so fun to watch her ‘pretend cooking show’, inspired by Ina. She even had Ina join one of her segments. That’s real life, both of them!
Cute shoes and rug, too!
Have a great weekend, Julie!
ps has anyone ever told you you favor Ina in your looks? truth!
I have been told that, Rita, yes. And I love Jennifer and her pretend cooking show. She’s a gem.
It was fun to watch Ina on 60 Minutes. I ordered her new book from Sam’s Club, and it’s coming today. That will be #13 from her for me. Love almost anything black watch, so those sneakers are calling me. The soup sounds great! Thanks, Julie!
Have a great weekend, Jillian!
