Links for Your Weekend
Hi friends. How are you doing? It’s been a heavy week, news-wise.
I’m following the developments and trying to learn as much as I can but also stepping away when it gets overwhelming. I’m heartbroken for all the people who don’t have the privilege of doing that. Especially those who have lost people they love.
On Fridays, I often share interesting or entertaining things I’ve found around the web. Here’s what I saved to share with you this week.
Note: Creating This Life posts sometimes contain affiliate links, which means if you click through and make a purchase I earn a small commission at no additional cost to you.
This beautiful home is from a designer’s portfolio but it doesn’t feel overly decorated to me. Just warm, collected, and inviting.
Emily experimented with styling a cabinet with books vs. dishes. Which do you like better? I can’t choose…love them both.
I really like these corner gripper pads for rugs. They’re over 30% off with an extra 10% off coupon right now.
Eddie Bauer flannel sheets are also on sale at Amazon. We have and love the deer lodge pattern in our guest room (where I sometimes retreat in the middle of the night when I can’t sleep.)
Cauliflower, but make it fancy. As in a parmesan cream sauce and topped with fontina cheese and panko bread crumbs.
I’ve become a big fan of the New York Times’ daily Connections game. They give you sixteen words and you put them in groups of four based on things they have in common. Are you playing?
P.S. Last October’s Chicago trip and apple cider sangria.
I love that wallpaper she has in the entryway. I wish there was a brand and a design name for it.
The cauliflower recipe looks delish as a splurge.
For me I like the dishes in the cabinet best what a bold design choice the green was. Beautiful!
Yay! I found the wallpaper. It doesn’t say if it’s prepasted. https://www.finestwallpaper.com/store/p6678/Andrew_Martin_-_Pear_Tree_Wallpaper.html
Great sleuthing, Nanci! I love that wallpaper too.
I love the house by Molly Patton — so c risk but still traditional with all the black and white.
Glad you liked it too, Janet! It’s really special, I think.
That Molly Patton Design work is gorgeous – very clean, not cluttered. That brass candlestick arrangement is so eye-catching!
Have a good weekend, Julie.
Agree on the candlesticks, Rita. Those caught my eye too!
