Prime Purchases
Welcome to the third edition of Prime Purchases! I love seeing what others are buying on Amazon so I occasionally share my purchases here too.
It’s been a bit since I’ve done a post like this so this is a big one. As usual, I need to let you know that the links below are affiliate links, which means if you click through and make a purchase I earn a (very) small commission at no additional cost to you.
Here we go…
We needed a new rug for our entry way so I went with this classic seagrass with a black border.
I’m hoping to be able to keep some flowers at the lake this summer so I ordered these self-watering globes to try and keep them watered between visits.
I ordered this jute rug with a navy border for one of our bedrooms at the lake. Here’s how I used it.

The bedding also came from Amazon.
Here’s the quilt (which also comes with a sham).
And these are the sheets.
Platform beds have been our best friends for the lake place as they’re inexpensive and don’t require box springs. I got this one for one of the bedrooms.
For the bedding, I ordered this jersey knit comforter set.
And these Eddie Bauer sheets in an oar pattern. (I’m trying not to go overboard with the nautical theme at the lake but some things I can’t resist.)
I loved this set of 6 rattan coasters that came with a matching storage box.
I replaced my old office chair with this grey linen one (it also comes in an ivory color).
This faux cashmere throw is super soft. I got it in blue but it comes in a bunch of other colors.
Am I the only one who doesn’t like the chlorine smell in most dishwasher detergents? These Method Free and Clear packs don’t have any scent at all.
Our deck at the lake came with some rope lights that I wanted to replace with cafe lights. We went with these Edison-style lights that are dimmable.
We plug them into this smart plug that lets us dim them or even put them on a timer, all from our phones.
You guys, can we talk for a minute? I have the driest heels on record. We’re talking severely dried and cracked. I’ve tried every cream imaginable and have worn my arms out using my Ped Egg (which does work but has to be done repeatedly, in my experience). Recently I discovered something that has been, if not excactly life-changing, at least heel-changing.

This foot file smooths heels (and other dry spots on your feet) with a fraction of the effort of other things I’ve tried. If anything you have to be careful not to apply too much pressure, because it works so well.
It works even better when I pair it with this exfoliating foot mask that you use about once a month. I am so seriously excited to have these two lifesavers going into summer.
I stocked up on my favorite dry sunscreen that is sheer enought to be worn over makeup.
I also ordered this tinted sunscreen which I can wear under makeup or by itself. I like that both are mineral sunscreens, which work by blocking the sun’s rays instead of absorbing them.
Finally, I picked up a set of these beach towel clips to use at the the pool this summer.
What have you bought lately on Amazon? Anything good?
P.S. Life lately and lake house bedding.
Love your lake house choices! It’s gonna be fabulous. Be sure to give us a whole house tour when you’re ready, please?
I have that same sheet set with the oars in my son’s room (we are also coastal).
How is the seagrass holding up as an entry rug? Hope I remember to come check back for an answer. 🙂
So far, so good!
