Prime Purchases

I discovered through my blogging friend Katie that Tanya at The Other Side of the Road does a monthly Amazon link post where bloggers share what they’ve purchased on Amazon. I am always interested in seeing what others are buying and I’ve made some good discoveries that way (like this dog travel bag, also courtesy of Katie) so I decided to take part this month.

I grouped my buys by category and you’ll see they fall heavily into health and beauty (heavy on the health, light on the beauty) and stuff for the lake. That pretty much sums up our January.

As usual, I need to let you know that the links below are affiliate links, which means if you click through and make a purchase I earn a (very) small commission at no additional cost to you.

Health and Beauty

I was running low on eyeliner so I ordered this Maybelline eye pencil on a whim. I love the way it goes on and it tends to stay in place better for me than my old eyeliner.

Not very exciting but oh so crucial. We never like to be without ChapStick and the original blue moisturizing kind is our favorite.

I upgraded my 30+-year-old heating pad with this one and can I just tell you that heating pads have come a long, long way in that time? Oversized, extra plush, and automatic shutoff for the win.

The bloodwork at my physical a couple of years ago showed I was low on Vitamin D as so many of us are, and my doctor put me on an Rx for a while and then told me to take 1000 IUs daily. Last year my level was better but still below normal and she told me to double it so I make sure to take two of these softgelsย every day.

After I upgraded from the blue paper face masks to these plaid ones last year, Tom decided he wanted an upgrade too so I ordered him these disposable black masks.

For the Lake

I bought these Lacoste sheets for the twin beds at the lake and they make my preppy 80s heart so happy. I got them in chambray blue but they also come in grey, red, a brighter blue, and white.

We love the jute rug we ordered for our lake bedroom.

Ditto the striped navy duvet...

…the paisley microfiber sheets

…and the buffalo plaid Eddie Bauer duvet cover.

I blogged here about putting them all together.

11-Piece Stainless Steel Knife Set with Block

The condo came without knives so I ordered this stainless steel set. It looks great on the counter, has a built-in sharpener, and the two sets of scissors are a big plus.

I thought this book would be fun to have for people to pick up and read when they’re visiting. I’m going to read it first though!

Other Finds

We love these healthy, ceramic, non-stick pans. I blogged about them here.

Grant and his dog Dolly are living with us for a few months and I bought her rawhides to keep her busy in the evenings while the rest of us are hanging out on our devices or watching TV. I first got her the bigger ones thinking they would keep her busy longer, and they do when she’ll chew on them, but she prefers these smaller ones.

She’s such a diva.

What have you found lately on Amazon? Do you enjoy seeing what others are buying?

P.S. A HomeGoods shopping trip and what’s saving my life right now.
