Last fall I ran across a garden in Kansas City Spaces magazine that had me poring over the pictures.
So many details to take in. That’s a mirror in the above picture, by the way.
And note the chandelier hanging from a branch over the table.
The gardens are amazing, as you can see, and I found myself wondering what the inside of this home looked like.
Well, lucky for me, I’m an online real estate stalker in my spare time, and last week I ran across a listing for the same home, which had just been listed for sale.
So, inside the home we go.
I so loved getting to see the interior of this home. It’s such a natural extension of the gardens (or maybe it is the other way around).
And even though this style is different from my own, I found some inspiring and steal-worthy takeaways, namely the slipcovers, oversized mirrors, and the use of concrete pedestals, urns and statuary, both inside and out. I also love that antique dresser turned into a bathroom vanity above. Really gorgeous.
These photos are from the real estate listing, which you can see here. Now I’m curious where these owners are going next.
P.S. In between posts, you’ll find me on Instagram.
Wow, Julie, it’s really lovely and charming! I, too, found bringing some of the outside in inspiring. I had to smile at the asking price…it would be twice that price here in Southern CA. My sister-in-law in KC has sent me links for homes for sale in KC, and we’re always amazed at the price differences.
Real estate prices are so interesting, Jillian. I can’t even imagine Southern Calif. prices. Glad you enjoyed the house.
Julie… really interesting house. I hear KC is such a great place to live. Have a great week.
It’s a wonderful place, Katie.
So beautiful!! I can only dream of a place like this! With all the wind we have in ND, a mirror outside wouldn’t last very long!
I’m a little surprised it lasts here, Bonnie. Maybe they take it up and down?
