Thanksgiving Favorites

Hi friends, and happy November! How was your Halloween? The weather was beautiful here so Tom and I drug (dragged?) the firepit around front to the driveway and handed out candy from there. It was fun visiting with neighbors, seeing all the kids and soaking up the perfect autumn night.
What I really want to talk about today, though, is Thanksgiving, which is three weeks from Thursday (!). I’m starting to plan so I’ve pulled together some favorite things (things I have and things I’d like to have) in case you’re planning too.

Scenic Turkey Cloth Napkins Perfect little fall scene on a 20×20 100% cotton napkin. These are so charming.
Taper Candlestick Holders Matte black candleholders that will work on any table.
Plymouth Turkey Plates The practical side of me likes to invest in salad plates in pretty patterns and pair them with simpler dinner plates. These would be great for that, although they come in dinner plates and several serving pieces too.
Wicker Chargers I’ve seen a lot of wicker chargers and I think these are my favorite, plus they’re on sale.
Porcelain Gravy Boat Every Thanksgiving table can use another gravy boat. I loved the shape of this one but the price is even better.
Individual Salt & Pepper Shakers It’s so nice for everyone to have their own shakers and it’s such an easy thing to do.
Turkey Place Cards I skipped place cards for years (everybody sit wherever you want!) but no one was really sure where to go and I think a little place card at your place is kind of nice.
Linen Table Runner I use my neutral linen runner all the time. Love that this one is hemstitch.
La Rochere Glasses What says American Thanksgiving better than French glasses? In all seriousness, we use these sturdy classic glasses for water but I like the idea of serving wine in a tumbler like this too.
Clear Carafe We always put a carafe at each end of the table for easy water refills. I love the stamp on this one.
Bamboo Flatware I wanted classic bamboo flatware forever and now that I have it I use it a lot. It looks so pretty and feels good in your hand.
Wood Cookbook Stand I recently replaced my old cookbook stand with this one and it works great for cookbooks, printed recipes, or an iPad, all of which I use for recipes. It looks nice enough to leave on the counter too.
Wood Handle Salad Servers Love the mango wood and brushed stainless steel combo on these.
Patrician Taper Candles These are my favorite candles for dinner tables. They’re dripless, smokeless, and unscented and they come in a nice box too.
TableTopics These are fun discussion-starters for after dinner. We have the original version and the family version, and I think the dinner party version would be great for Thanksgiving too.
White Disposable Containers A few years back I bought some disposable containers for sending home leftovers and now I’m never without them (no Tupperware for anyone to return!). These white soup containers would be great for so many things.
Kraft Takeout Containers Another handy takeout shape and size.
P.S. Apple cider sangria and links for your Thanksgiving.
