Thanksgiving Table
Happy Thanksgiving to those of you reading in the US. I hope you’re enjoying this holiday week. My parents, sister, and brother-in-law are all in from Florida and we’re enjoying a lot of fun family times.
In between I’m planning menus, running to the grocery store, and getting ready for the big day. I’m sure all of you are too so I won’t keep you long, but I did want to pop in with some pictures of our Thanksgiving table, which I managed to get done two full days ahead of time. That’s never happened before.
I’m excited to get to use my new/old Thanksgiving dishes.
Much of the other stuff I set the table with I found on my estate sale haunts, including some of the silverware. It’s mixed in with my wedding silverplate.
In the past I would collect things until I had a full, matching sets, now I’m trying to find enough secondhand silverplate so that it’s all mismatched. Funny how that works.
The checked napkins and the straw pumpkins and turkey were also estate sale finds.
If I had set out just to find things to set a Thanksgiving table I would have waited until the last minute, ended up with some stuff I didn’t like, and it would have added a lot of stress to my holiday. But by picking up things I love as I run across them, when it’s time to set the table it all seems to come together.
In the spirit of the season I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for being a Creating This Life reader. Every single subscriber is a gift to me and your comments and emails brighten my days. I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Thank you all, and I hope your holiday was special too!
Beautiful dining room table. I love the paint color dining room (upper walls-tanish color) may I have the name; and your description of the color? Can’t wait to see your Christmas blogs
Hi Kim, it’s Beigewood by Benjamin Moore. It’s the same color that’s in our kitchen.
