Thanksgiving Tablesetting
This year I’m very excited to be taking part in a virtual progressive Thanksgiving dinner with over 20 other blogs.
Today and tomorrow these blogs will be sharing everything from printables to Centerpieces to recipes. You’ll find the links to the other virtual Thanksgiving posts at the end of this post.
It all started with a single plate. Well, four plates actually.
My dear friend, Mary, knowing how much I love Thanksgiving, bought me a boxed set of turkey plates from Pottery Barn.
For several years I used them to hold butter and lemon slices on my Thanksgiving table. But two years ago I decided to use them the way God and Pottery Barn and, no doubt, Mary intended: as salad plates.
Since I was hosting more than my immediate family for Thanksgiving dinner, I needed a few more plates to go with them. That’s when I happened on these turkey plates at Walmart of all places.
And I found these plates with turkeys and leaves on them there too.
And then I added the turkey platter that my mother-in-law passed down to me when I started hosting Thanksgiving a few years back.
I loved the way all the different turkeys looked together when the table was set.
But of course the table looked best of all when these turkeys were sitting at it.

Your table is so pretty! My favorite part are the smaller turkey plates on each place setting.
Thank you, Paula. I like them too.
Julie, your turkey table is perfect! I love the mixing of old and new, different and no so matchy-matchy. Beautiful table setting. Thanks for sharing.
